Champ Jaxon is a blues-rock musician from Punta Gorda, FL. He inherited his love of music from his family, attending his first concert three weeks prior to his birth and going to his first music festival at age three, where he saw The Allman Brothers on their farewell tour. Lying on the grass at the “Peach Stage” at the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park, hearing Gregg Allman croon “..and the road goes on forever…” as he sang the timeless “Midnight Rider” lit something inside Champ, and he has been passionately developing his craft since then.
He began playing ukulele and taking music lessons at age four and began playing guitar at age six. Champ made his musical debut in the Spring of 2018 at a local youth talent showcase, and has played at various venues throughout southwest Florida since, including Big Storm Brewing, The Nav-A-Gator, and the Celtic Ray, as well opening the 2019 Big Orange Music Festival which featured headliners Blackberry Smoke and The Allman Betts Band.
Hi new single, "No Time For Hate", is available now on all major digital platforms and the EP is due for a December 2020 release. Champ currently plays a Fender Duo Sonic through a Blues Junior Humboldt amplifier and proudly uses D’Addario strings.
